Automattic recently added two new works from each designer to the growing NoHo Collection. Instead of treating the collection as something fixed, the event highlighted the people, ideas, and creative journeys behind each piece.

The conversation opened with a poem from Federico García Lorca:
Canta el reloj
Cuento maquinalmente las horas
Es lo mismo las siete que las doce
Yo — no estoy aquí
Es la señal de carne que yo dejé,
al irme, para saber mi sitio al regresar…
The clock sings
I count the hours mechanically
Seven o’clock is the same as twelve
I — am not here
It is the mark of flesh that I left, on departing,
to know my place upon return…(Rough translation)
The poem created an intimate and thoughtful mood for the evening, bringing the conversation back to themes like memory, identity, absence, and belonging. These ideas shaped the remainder of the discussion.
Anna and Ronaldy talked about building their creative practices in New York, balancing commercial and personal projects, and staying connected to experimentation and intuition in a fast-paced industry. Their conversation touched on design, migration, materials, language, and the emotional side of making art in a city that is always changing.
At one point, Ronaldy reflected on the experience of living and working in New York:
“If you are worried because you are crazy, in New York, there is always someone crazier than you.”
The quote made people laugh and feel seen, while also capturing something real about New York’s creative spirit—its openness to contradictions, intensity, uniqueness, and constant change.
During the evening, students, industry veterans, friends, and members of New York’s creative community moved naturally between the panel, music, and casual conversations, making the NoHo Space feel like a true reflection of the city.

The space felt like a mix of gallery, living room, and gathering spot for creative exchange—open, curious, collaborative, and full of energy. We’re excited to keep growing the Speaker Series and can’t wait for more conversations and community events at our NoHo Space.

About the Speakers
Anna Kulachek is a New York–based graphic designer, art director, and artist from Donetsk, Ukraine. She has worked with leading cultural institutions and global brands, including MoMA, La Triennale di Milano, Nike, Apple, Calvin Klein, Prada, and Valentino. Alongside her commercial and institutional work, Anna’s artistic practice focuses on experimentation with physical materials, particularly paper collage and screenprinting, exploring new color combinations, compositions, and forms.

Ronaldy Navarro Caudales is a Cuban-born artist living in New York. His work combines text and image through hand-painted and printed posters inspired by everyday language, poetry, and fragments of conversation. Using simple materials such as cardboard, craft paper, and found objects, Ronaldy explores themes of memory, migration, identity, and public expression, often installing works directly within the urban environment.
