We’re proud to share that Automattic designers Alicia Blázquez, Cris Busquets, and Jana Hernández are featured in the May, 2025 issue of Gràffica, one of Spain’s leading design magazines.

The article, Diseñar para millones, pensar en personas (“Designing for millions, thinking of people”), blends their voices into a shared narrative about designing at scale for WordPress.com while staying deeply human-centered. It also reflects on their personal journeys in design, and how they bring purpose, care, and inclusivity to their work.
Beyond design technique and personal stories, the publication highlights something deeper: the importance of diversity, inclusivity, and representation — values at the heart of Automattic’s culture. It’s especially meaningful to see the spotlight on women in design, and Alicia, Cris, and Jana use this occasion to underscore why representation matters: while the design industry has made strides, there’s still work to do in elevating underrepresented voices.
The piece also appears in Gràffica’s May 2025 print edition, and we’re excited to share a few snapshots from the magazine below.

This feature in Gràffica is not only a celebration of three talented designers, but also a celebration of our principles.
We congratulate Alicia, Cris, and Jana on this well-deserved recognition.
