Where are you located?
I’m currently located in Madrid but plan on moving to New York next year.
What do you like most about being a designer?
I came for the pixels and stayed for the thrill of solving problems. At first, I liked exploring visuals and working closely with all my UI and pixels. The more I got into systems and strategy, the more I fell in love with the less tangible aspects of design.
What’s an aspect of design that you are really into?
Drawing diagrams. The more I learn about design, the more I want to spend time using pen and paper and drawing things in a simple way that I can understand. Design methods are helpful at times, but the art of unpacking a problem can be as personal and contextual as you want.

What’s something you’ve learned about yourself recently that has really helped you?
I naturally avoid discomfort at all costs. Understanding this aspect of myself changed how I think about ambition and showing up for myself. Lately, I’ve been reading and learning about ambitious goals, fighting procrastination, and understanding willpower.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received in your design career?
Approach with curiosity, not scrutiny.
