My home office takes up the house’s sunroom with lots of natural light. My stand-up desk elevates me from deep work to conference calls. Around me you’ll find a few motivational phrases, wrapped in a bit of humor to make workday go by faster. They serve as a subtle nudge to keep pushing forward.

I’m fortunate to have space for two small desks. One is used for digital work, and the other for sketching and writing. Having that separation helps me to focus and avoid distractions. I try not to spend all my day behind a desk. I’ll often start my day at a coffee shop catching up on project updates, then move back home for deep focussed work.

My freezing dungeon has all I need to make creative work. Why three screens? Because all good things come in threes.

Marta Przeciszewska, Creative Designer, WooCommerce (Wrocław, Poland)
I easily lose focus, so I try to maintain a clutter-free desk. However, I often keep books or prints on it because I enjoy seeking inspiration beyond the digital world. It’s an excellent method for refreshing my mind from the pixels and bezier curves.

Nebojsa Jurcic, Motion Designer, Design Core (Subotica, Serbia)
My home office is a cozy corner with a table by a huge window—ideal for people-watching and sunning my plants (and myself). It’s cluttered with books for smarts and Lego for fun, surrounded by three screens and my ever-present phone. Work is all about my MacBook, while my PC is for gaming and 3D projects. The click of my mechanical keyboard is my work-play soundtrack in this perfect balance of productivity and leisure.

Annchiahui Tai, Product Designer, WooCommerce (Kaohsiung, Taiwan)
My workspace is a snug corner with an adjustable desk, perfect for changing work positions to stay focused. It’s sprinkled with delightful items that help combat stress. Mornings begin with coffee at a cafe, while afternoons are for design work at home on a larger screen, blending routine with comfort.

Kelly hoffman, Co-Head of Design (seattle, us)
I work on a small laptop with no external screens to keep my setup the same, regardless of where I’m working. I’ve decorated the wall in front of me with art and gifts from friends and co-workers. I keep a small stack of books within arms reach for inspo, my favorite notebook, and occasionally borrow my partner’s nice headphones for deep work.

Poli Gilad, Product Designer, WooCommerce (Haarlem, The Netherlands)
I like changing positions throughout the day, so when joining Automattic, I opted for a custom L-shaped desk. This allows me to design in front of my screen and write by the window with just my laptop. Behind me is my electric drum set; although I’m a beginner, it’s a nice outlet for quick breaks and energy release.

Nikki Vias, Product Designer, WooCommerce (Manila, Philippines)
I set up my bedroom office with a lovely vintage desk and a Herman Miller Cosm that’s perfect for long work sessions. I always have water and mixed nuts close by to help me stay focused. Come midday, I usually switch things up and stretch out on the bed with my laptop. Then when I need a break, I only need to step out onto the terrace for some fresh air.

Joe Keenan, Product Designer, WooCommerce (Adelaide, Australia)
I’m sitting at a standing desk in a room destined for my partner’s acupuncture clinic, bathed in natural light from north-facing windows and glass doors. If I get stuck, I’ll stare at the manna gum beyond my monitor for a while. The answer is somewhere in those leaves. I prefer a distraction-free setup – so it was refreshing to clear off the chaos of books, bills, and bric-a-brac for this photo op!
